Kistefoss museum was a wood pulp producing factory (for the paper industry) now converted into a contemporary art museum featuring the iconic ‘The Twist' -bridge/gallery. The park offers a great collection of modern art combined with its industrial heritage. There is a large playground for kids and a coffee bar/cafeteria with indoor facilities. Make sure to visit the special toilets in ‘The Twist', it's a real event!
Hadeland glassworks is one of the many glassworks in Norway and tends to be a bit more touristy and industrialized. Main production is handblown wine glasses and big glass balls for lighting fixtures. It remains fascinating to see the transition from melted sand into a piece of art. The guys are focused on their work so the interaction is a bit limited but they like to show their works. There is a bakery and nice coffee shop on site.
