Camp in an orange grove

The spot is a private farmhouse – Cortijo – set in an orange grove. It is an excellent quiet retreat situated between two villages Terque and Bentarique, both about a 20-minute walk away. The farm is 40 minutes by car from the beaches and the coast at Roquetas de Mar. The site has four hard pitches as well as three apartments that can also be rented. It offers spectacular views of the mountains and stars on a clear night. You will love the walks around the nearby hills. Cortijo Camino Ancho offers a swimming pool and a petanca court which can be used with the owners' consent.

Family atmosphere

The site is owned by an english couple Jason and Paula who go out of their way to make your stay as pleasant as possible. Overall the place is a great quiet site away from the tourist route but close enough to visit if you feel the need.

Plan a trip – Terque and Bentarique villages are nearby and offer great opportunities for a small hike to the chapel on the hill, or just to visit the local shops including bakery, small supermarket, fish seller and market in Terque on Tuesday morning.

Enjoy sunsets over mountains

Both villages have bars with tasty tapas and are good value for money. We recommend planning your trip so that you see the village market in Terque on Tuesday morning. The maximum permitted width of the van is around 2.9 meters and the permitted length is approximately 7.0 meters. There's a steep entry path but we made it there just fine.
