The site was developed and opened in spring 2026 by the Niederdalhoff family, who are clearly very proud of what they have created.
And with good reason.

Waldstellplatz Lienen
What used to be a rather ordinary parking area for motorhomes has been completely transformed into a modern, welcoming and very well-equipped place to stay.

Waldstellplatz Lienen
There are 36 pitches, including standard pitches for vehicles up to 9 metres, an extra-large pitch for vehicles up to 12 metres, and a separate Bulliwiese for smaller campervans up to 5.5 metres. There is also a grassy field which can accomodate up to 4 tents. The pitches combine a firm gravel surface with a small grass area, making the place feel much more like a proper camper stop than a simple car park.

Everything you need
The facilities are modern, clean and well thought out. The price includes the sanitary facilities and showers, Wi-Fi, rubbish disposal, grey-water disposal and cassette-toilet disposal.

Fresh water and electricity are available for an additional charge. Charging station for four e-bikes is situated next to the reception. Check-in and check-out are handled digitally, but of course, if there is someone from the Niederdalhoff family, you can check-in in old personal style.

There is also a weekend bread roll service, and the owners are offten personally present and happy to help with information, tips, cup of coffee and anything you might need during your stay.

You can also buy non alcoholic drinks and wine at the site, while local products can be ordered from nearby farms — including things such as meat, wild meat, milk and other regional produce.

Waldstellplatz Lienen
It is a lovely touch and fits perfectly with the owners‘ idea of supporting local producers and bringing a little bit of the surrounding countryside directly to the camper.
Swim, hike or simply slow down

Waldstellplatz Lienen
The location is one of Waldstellplatz Lienen’s biggest advantages.
The Hallenfreibad Lienen is literally next door. The complex has an indoor pool as well as an outdoor pool in summer, plus a large lawn, volleyball courts, table tennis, a tennis court and other facilities. There is also a sauna area. So whether you want a proper swim, a relaxing afternoon or something active, you don’t have to move the camper at all.

Waldstellplatz Lienen
For walkers, the location is excellent. Hiking trails start directly from the site and lead into the amazing Teutoburg Forest, with longer routes including the Hermannsweg, Teutoschleifen and TERRA.tracks. Cyclists will also find plenty of routes in the surrounding countryside.
And if you don’t feel like cooking, there are restaurants very close by. Malepartus is a popular restaurant in the hills above Lienen, while Waldschlößchen is located practically next to the camper stop. Both make it easy to turn a simple overnight stay into a proper evening out.
Something different: Wilky
For those travelling without their own camper, there is another option. Wilky is a lovingly restored vintage caravan from 1981, available for rent on the site.

Waldstellplatz Lienen
It sleeps two people and has a small seating area, fridge, sink, storage space, electricity and USB charging. Outside there is a table and chairs under the trees. It is a charming little alternative for anyone who likes retro camping but does not own a caravan.
