An authentic Bosnian auto camp with a friendly touch

Auto Camp Victoria is located on the bank of the Neretva River, not far from the city center. The campsite is run by the kind Mr. Jurić and his friendly and helpful granddaughter, who speaks English very well. One of the big advantages of this campsite is that it is open 24/7, even during the winter months. You’re free to choose your pitch – whether it’s near the main building with picnic area, showers, and toilets, or out on the grassy field if you’re looking for more privacy. It feels a bit like wild camping, and the atmosphere is truly wonderful.

Mr. Jurić has plans for the coming years – he would like to build a new, modern sanitary building and he wants to offer pay by card, to make your stay even more comfortable.

There are plenty of spotless toilets in the main building, which also houses the reception and a drinks vending machine.

Two more toilets are located in the shower rooms next to the reception. On hot days, feel free to use the outdoor showers with views of the green surrounding mountains. There is also an outdoor dishwashing area, and the laundry room completes your stay.

Don’t worry about the other practicalities – graywater and chemical toilet disposal are both available. The bus stop is right in front of the campsite, or you can reach the city of Mostar by your bike or taxi. If you need help, just ask Mr. Jurić or his granddaughter – they’ll be happy to assist you.

Enjoy the amazing ancient city of Mostar and its fabulous surroundings

Mostar is situated on the Neretva River and was named after the bridge keepers (mostari) who guarded the Old Bridge (Stari Most) during the Ottoman era. The stunning Old Bridge is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Bosnia and Herzegovina’s most iconic landmarks.

Mostar is an incredible blend of Islamic and Christian culture and architecture, which makes it one of the most charming cities in the country – truly worth a visit. Take a walk through the narrow streets lined with souvenir shops, restaurants, and coffee bars serving real Bosnian coffee. And of course, don’t miss walking across the Old Bridge, enjoying a beer beneath it, and soaking up the unique atmosphere.

Another remarkable heritage site is the mysterious Blagaj Tekke – the Dervish Monastery – located in the beautiful historic village of Blagaj, near Mostar, at the spring of the Buna River. You can visit the complex and experience the serene vibe of the surrounding landscape.
For a more active stay, try the Via Ferrata Podružje – Ilirski Put, built into the stunning Podružje canyon.

Ambassador’s Opinion

We had a lovely stay at Auto Camp Victoria.

The evening after our visit to Mostar Old Town was amazing – we sat next to our camper, enjoying the beautiful colorful sunset, the view at dramatic mountains, good Bosnian wine and delicious burek. The kindness and warmth of Mr. Jurić and his family made our stay in Mostar even more special.

Be advised

If you arrive in the winter and the reception is closed, just give Mr. Jurić a call – he’ll make everything ready for your pleasant stay.
There is no washmaschine available at the campsite.
Mostar and the Dervish Monastery in Blagaj can get very crowded during the season, so consider visiting early in the morning or late in the evening.
