The campsite has a unique cliff location on a small peninsula with ocean at two sides!

Camping Perlora is located in the small town of Candas, near the Spanish coastal city of Gijon (Asturias province). You can visit Gijon by local bus or train. A few years ago the owners celebrated its 50th anniversary so lots and lots of camper experience present here. There is a vintage feeling all over the place close to the city. You can go for a stroll or a meal in the harbor.

Campsite with a long tradition

The campsite was founded by the father of the current owner (Isabel) in 1968, the original pictures are on display in the old cafeteria that is converted into a cosy lounge area. Owners are open, kind people who love accommodating campers.

Clean and cosy

The reception area and sanitary block are not brand new but very clean and offer some unique features as a ‘window on the ocean' when cleaning your dishes. The showers have marble floors with drainage holes. You can say there is a general ‘vintage' feeling around this place.

All normal amenities are present including dumping station, laundry, electricity at all plots and fresh water.

What to do in the neighborhood

You can walk into town, watch the surfers catching the waves and enjoy a seafood meal in the harbor. The sea wall is decorated with modern murals.

In the neighborhood we recommend visiting Aviles for the Oscar Niemeyer Cultural Centre. The Brazilian architect designed a white ‘whale' like construction and tower.
