There are spacious pitches for campers, caravans and tents, sanitary facilities with individual wash cabins, washing machines and dryers, a camper service station, fresh bread service, a playground, a beach volleyball court and free Wi-Fi. Guests who prefer a little more comfort can also stay at the on-site hotel, making the campsite suitable for all types of travellers.
The friendly reception staff are always happy to answer questions and provide recommendations for exploring the area, which made you feel very comfortable.

The best thing here is the beautiful Birkensee. Unlike many public sts, creating a peaceful atmosphere without large crowds. The water is wonderfully clear, perfect for swimming on warm summer days, while the lakeside setting is ideal for relaxing with a book or simply enjoying the view. Some of the premium lakeside pitches even have their own private access to the water, making the experience feel even more exclusive.

If you are travelling with a dog, this campsite is an excellent choice. Dogs are genuinely welcome here, and the surrounding forests and lakeside paths provide plenty of opportunities for nice walks. It never felt like dogs were simply tolerated—they are clearly considered welcome guests.
Besides relaxing by the lake, there is plenty to do in the surrounding area. Hannover is close enough for an easy day trip and offers attractions such as the magnificent Herrenhausen Gardens, the picturesque Old Town, the Maschsee lake, the Erlebnis-Zoo Hannover and several excellent museums.

The campsite is located near two roads, so depending on your pitch and the wind direction, you may occasionally hear some traffic. It wasn’t something that bothered us, but it’s worth knowing before you book.
