A charming farm spot in the Austrian hills, quiet and picturesque

Stellplatz Jodlaumer is located on a charming family farm in the Austrian hills. As you pull into the farm there is a welcoming sign for campers just outside of a small hut, where you will find all the information you need to self check-in. It is quite likely that a family member will hear you coming and greet you at the entrance, and from here you can figure out which spot you would like to stand on. The spots for campers are nicely spread out on the grassy area under the fruit trees, therefore there is plenty of chance for sunny or shady spots, depending on the season.

Next door to the small camping field is an area where the goats live, and if you are traveling with children who would like to meet these cute neighbours, just chat to the family and they will make it happen!

Just past the family’s house a few metres away from the camping area is the small container with toilets and a shower inside.

These facilities are basic, but well kept and are more than sufficient for the maximum of three campers that can stay here each night.

In the middle of the grassy area is a free-standing small swimming pool, which you can use during the summer season for an extra fee. Electricity and water is found in the middle of the camping area, convenient for everyone to reach, and there is an outdoor shower here too.

The hut at the entrance has information for campers and also plenty of treats that you can buy, including a fridge full of beers and soft drinks.

There may also be items of food from the farm available here, depending on the season. You can also just pick some fruit from the trees above you during your stay here if the time is right!

Also close to this farm is the famous turn in the Danube, the Donauschlinge, so if you have your bicycles with you it is definitely worth taking a ride out to a view point to see this!

Be advised

The road up the hill to this farm is steep and single lane for about 5km. It is not busy with traffic, so it is not really an issue, but just something to be aware of! Also you might need to use wedges if you like to stand perfectly straight.
