As well as the river, there is also a small stream running through the site, just outside the sanitary block. Some of the pitches back directly onto the river too.

The toilets and showers are kept very clean, and there is a washing machine for clothes too. All the normal services are here for mobile homes that you would expect so your stay is guaranteed to be comfortable. In the centre of the site is a grassy hedged area that is quite private and for tent camping only, which is a very nice touch and must be quite a pleasure to camp in a tent here!

At the entrance of the campsite is a gorgeous house where the reception is found, which also has a small shop within where you can pick up any forgotten essentials.

The staff here are so friendly, you will immediately feel welcome when you step inside. There is also a bar and restuarant inside, which is a great thing to have on site if you are staying here and feeling too lazy to cook!

At the end of the campsite is a fishing pond, where you can enjoy a day’s fishing for 20euro.

This carnival has been celebrated for centuries: an archival document dating back to 25 June 1459 is the first mention of the event. It is a four day extravaganza steeped in history and cultural events and is definitely something to experience!
