L’Ayguelade Camping is a lovely campsite set in the Pyrenees. It is on the smaller side and because of this, it feels cozy, welcoming, and private. Just outside of the campsite at the back is a huge river that leads into a lake and it is only a few minutes to walk to it. The walk along the river is lovely and is the perfect addition to this charming spot. You will also enjoy the drive to this campsite, with a spectacular view of the mountains along the way.

The owner of this campsite is incredibly friendly and you will feel welcome from the first moment. Along the front of the site are permanent campers, who have caravans set up with their small garden spaces. Towards the middle and back are the spots for temporary campers.
The site is very green with plenty of trees, which makes it so beautiful as well as being nice and shady during summer months.

The spots are very spacious, so you will not feel closed in by your neighbours, no matter how full the site is.
As well as the camping spots, this campsite also has a few unique accommodation options for you. They are kind of miniature, stand-alone tree houses and cabins. They look like lovely little private spots and are a fabulous alternative to your camper if you fancy a night off!

There are also bar-be-que pits for communal use, a playground, and all the other usual facilities you would expect to find on a comfortable campsite.

During the night, this spot is really quiet. There is not a lot of lighting on this campsite so the view of the stars is wonderful!

A small stream runs through the middle of this campsite, which you have to cross with your vehicle to access the camping spots. You also have to walk across a little bridge to get to the reception area and toilets from the camp.

The bridge to drive across is not very wide, so huge mobile home may not make it across.

This is a really lovely spot that we were so happy to find
We felt really welcome here, even though we arrived after quite a big storm so everyone was busy cleaning and clearing. The river is gorgeous and if we were here in the summer we would definitely have dipped in to the lake. And the mountain view on the drive is amazing!
