A fantastic camper stop and a chance to see an amazing, medieval town

Located 100 km from Paris, in the heart of Normandy, Lyons-la-Forêt is a gorgeous, peaceful village classified as one of the ‘’Plus Beaux Villages de France’’. It is easy to see why! The camper park itself is a simple row of large spots separated by small logs tucked behind a campsite. During the low season, the campsite is closed, so this is a fantastic option to spend a night or two and see this incredible town!

From the camper park it is a short walk into the centre of this typical Norman village. Walk around its narrow streets with flowers, and marvel at its half-timbered houses from the 18th century, its central square and authentic market hall, the Bailliage room of its Town Hall… Many of the buildings are classified as Historic Monuments.

Such an amazing town

We had no idea that this town was such a historic attraction and were so surprised when we walked in! There is also a fabulous bakery, some restaurants, and other shops if you need anything. It is a really lovely place and definitely worth a stop if you are in the area. We planned just a night and stayed for two

We visited during the off-season and the camper stop had everything that we needed, but if you would rather have a few more facilities, there is a campsite just next door that is open during the warmer months.
Also, it is possible to reserve a spot here, though you need to do so through the Camping Car Park app or website.
