Large communal parking area located in Gruissan yacht harbor

This parking area lies on a peninsula in the yacht harbor. The old part of Gruissan is found at biking / walking distance.

At the beachfront, you will find the architectonically amazing ‘Les Chalets', a stilt house quarter build in the sixties. All houses are orientated to the ocean at a 45-degree angle to withstand the fierce winds and provide an ocean view.

Visit Gruissan

Gruissan is an amazing place, it has the looks and feel of the ‘Provence' but combined with the seaside vibe in Languedoc. There are narrow streets with shops, restaurants, bars and a bell tower. The ‘Barberousse' castle ruin overlooks the small city. The ‘marines salées' are salt marshes where you can explore the harvest of sea salt or enjoy some delicious oysters. La Bonne vie en France!

Though the parking area is municipal run, the reception staff is very friendly. There are a few showers pods (day use only) and you can dump grey/black water and fill up on fresh water as well.

Garbage containers are directly outside the parking lot. For a small fee of 9€ (10,5€ in high season) you can stay overnight. The area is free from November till February, but no hot shower in operation. There is a nice bike trail to both town and surfer beach.
