Just a stone's throw from an incredible beach, popular with surfers

This camper park at Plage de Messanges is simple and comfortable enough. What really makes this place worth a night or two is the close proximity of the fantastic, massive, sandy beach and amazing waves for surfing. To walk to the beach takes roughly 5 minutes, and it is special indeed to be so close to the coast. On the way to the beach you pass an awesome cafe with a view over the sea, and a surf school which is really popular during high season.

The beach stretches endlessly in both directions, so even if you are not a keen surfer this is a spot you will enjoy. As you look to the left, you can see the Pyrenees mountains, and the sun sets behind them each night, making for spectacular panoramas. During sun set, everyone gathers on top of the sand dunes to watch nature’s display of beauty. It’s a fantastic place to be!

The camper park itself has all the basics that you would expect. As with all Camping Car Parks in France, the entry is via an automated barrier, and you need to have the Camping Car Park card in order to get in. It is usually possible to get this from a machine at the gate if you do not already have one. Thanks to this system, you can arrive whenever you want. There is water, electricity, and the possibility to get rid of your waste.
