Beautiful views from a warm, welcoming campsite

You are guaranteed a warm welcome on arrival at this camp site. It is a family-run site, and the friendly staff are always ready to help you with anything you may need. The picturesque waterfront offers unique panoramic sea views and is the perfect base for a relaxing camping holiday in Ireland. There is also a great shop and a delicious pizza truck right on your doorstep!

The Wild Atlantic Way is the scenic drive along the Atlantic Ocean in Ireland, this is the top tourist attraction of the country. The southern section hugs the coast line in the Cork Area and is made of different shattered peninsulas, one of them is the famous Ring of Kerry, which is where this campsite is situated.

The site is family run, informal but well managed. An extensive part of the site is reserved for caravans but touring motorhomes and caravans are certainly welcome and get some nice pitches too, some boasting great views overlooking the bay. The campsite has terraced plots and the slope to the reception area is rather steep.

The helpful reception shows you all the great spots nearby and special scenic drives. The Ring of Kerry offers some spectacular views on the Skellig islands (famous from Star War movies), the Kerry cliffs and Bronze Age settlements.

Showers and laundry operate on a Euro token(s), a common thing in Ireland. Most sites have electrical hookups and grey and black water dumps are well located. Fresh water is provided at designated spots around the site.

During high season a deli and a small shop are on site for all essentials. Fresh rolls and bread is available in the morning.

There is a great wood fired pizza truck parked at the reception with picknick tables, used by campers and locals. We recommend the pizza strongly!

The campsite owns a private slip way to launch your boat or kayak. The site is ideal for all kind of watersports as SUP and surfing, swimming and scuba. The nearby Ballinskellig beach is great for surfing, Derrynane beach is a lifeguard protected beach, perfect for a safe swim.

This a really nice place, with a holiday vibe!

The friendly receptionist recommended us the excellent Ballinskellig scenic route, a bypass of the famous Ring of Kerry route. This proved to be one of the nicest routes we drove on this trip.
