Amboise is located on both riversides and looks like “little Paris”. It is similar to Paris with the river Seine and its island ‘île de la cité' with 2 bow bridges.

You cross the medieval stone bridge to visit the old town and explore the local castle and the Da Vinci house.

The local bakery ‘Paul' has a nice veranda in the garden where you can have coffee and cakes. They sell some great bread too.
Amboise Island Camping
It's such a peaceful spot to come back to after a day of exploring the stunning local area. The camp site has 24 spots and is open all year round. During busy summer the neighboring municipal campsite makes a great alternative.
The area is known for its vineyards and wineries, map and tours are available at the tourist office
