You drive into this campsite along a small river and a few of the pitches back onto the water.
Burrowhayes Farm
This provides a wonderful setting for a camping trip and the sound of the river makes the perfect backdrop to relax.
There is a small shop and reception desk in a building in the middle of the site, and the toilets and showers are in a separate building a little behind the reception.
Burrowhayes Farm
The farm buildings are also in this area, though separated by gates and some fencing.
However, you can see the horses hanging their heads out of their stable as you walk past! The fields for the horses to graze are also directly next to the camping fields, and it is so nice to be able to watch them on your doorstep.
Burrowhayes Farm
The open fields for camping are huge. Many of the spots are sloping, but there are also some areas, especially around the edges of the fields, that have been levelled.
Burrowhayes Farm
There is definitely the chance for quite a private spot here, particularly if you come with a tent and tuck away at the top of the field.
Burrowhayes Farm
At the top of the campsite, you can walk directly into the forest and enjoy hours of hiking in Horner Woods. You can also walk to the next village via public footpaths.
Horner Woods is an amazing hiking area. There is a public orchard, so you can enjoy some apples if you come at the right time of the year. There is also a tea room where you can have some incredible cakes, cream teas, and simple lunches, either before or after your hike.
Burrowhayes Farm
All in all, this is a great area for a camping trip, whether you want a night away or a two week holiday.

Ambassador’s Opinion
We had a wonderful night here.
The staff were so friendly, the facilities were immaculate, and we had a great day hiking. If you enjoy foraging, these woods are full of mushrooms in the right season!
