The pitches at Camping Des Grottes are extremely spacious.

Camping Des Grottes
Each pitch is also surrounded by hedges, so you feel completely private on your spot here.

Camping Des Grottes
There is enough room to spread out your awning, outdoor kitchen, all your furniture, whatever you have! And from each spot you can look up at the wonderful mountains of the Pyrenees. Another perk of this spot is that the price remains the same throughout their season, so if you can only travel within the school holidays you won’t be forced to pay twice as much here.

Camping Des Grottes
The campsite is kind of divided in half. All of the pitches are on one side, and on the other side of a small stream that runs through the site is a huge playing field, a lovely pond, and the pool area. There is an indoor and an outdoor pool with slides, plus a room for activities, which was not open when we stayed during the low season. The indoor pool was open though!

Camping Des Grottes
Along side the pond are some exercise machines, so if you can’t leave your workout routine at home, you can enjoy it here overlooking the water.

Camping Des Grottes
The closest caves to the campsite are the Niaux. They are part of a wider geological system that includes the Sabart Cave and Lombrives Cave in the hill of Cap de la Lesse de Bialac. To visit any of these caves, you need to book your day and time to join a guided tour.

Camping Des Grottes
It is so incredible to sit outside of your camper and look up at the cave entrances in the sides of the mountains

Camping Des Grottes
An archaeological site with a documented history of Paleo-human presence, Niaux contains numerous distinct areas and galleries of carefully drawn and vivid wall paintings.
