Less than 50m from the campsite are two swimming lakes, which are the perfect neighbours to have during the summer months!

In the middle of the two lakes is a cafe where you can buy simple refreshments and there is a small playground too. One of the lakes has some slides that you can take for a quick entry into the water and a beach area if you would rather get in slowly.

Fishing is also possible here. This whole area is just ideal to bring your chairs, your lunch and a good book – you can easily spend the whole day here relaxing!

It is definitely nice to be able to have a bit of a free choice of where you set up your camp. It creates a nice vibe to not have strictly marked places and allows everyone to have a little more space. There are some good communal facilities here, including a sheltered seating area with a fridge. There is also a bar-be-que on site with picnic tables next to it.

At the entrance to the campsite is a small pub, so if you don’t fancy cooking you can get some traditional Austrian cuisine here. The sanitary facilities are also in a separate building at the entrance, and they include a laundry room and plenty of sinks for dish washing.

The area around Camping Rosskogler is very rural and just behind the campsite is a cycling and walking trail.

There are other paths and trails too leading up into the surrounding hills, so you can pick which ever route you fancy depending on how much energy you have!

Of course, it is delightful to be able to come back and dip into one of the lakes after enjoying a strenuous hike during the day.
