Everything here shares the same natural ambiance, with lots of wood, tasteful decorations, and greenery everywhere. It is a perfect place to relax or enjoy plenty of fun with the whole family, and pets are also welcome. The Achterhoek, which means “rear corner,” is the easternmost part of the Netherlands and is known for its beautiful, picturesque landscape.
Here, you will find lovely forests, green meadows with peacefully grazing cows, water and windmills, and many authentic Dutch villages. The landscape is flat, so the best way to explore it is by bike or on foot.

All pitches and bungalows are surrounded by trees and flowers, and numerous children’s playgrounds can be found throughout the campsite. Even though the campsite has around 500 pitches, it doesn’t feel too large, and you can always find a quiet, private spot. The shared sanitary facilities are clean, modern, and spacious, with children’s bathrooms, washing machines, tumble dryers, and dishwashing areas.

Everything you need is available on-site: a reception with very helpful staff, a well-stocked supermarket, bike and e-bike rentals, and even stand-up paddleboard rentals.

You don’t need to cook, as there are several dining options, including the restaurant De Schoppe and the bistro Bij Rijck, where you can enjoy a great breakfast.

You can also grab pizza or ice cream at the Food Corner. There are large playgrounds for children of all ages, as well as a soccer field, tennis court, bowling alley, fitness studio, mini-golf, and a pump track. You can take SUP boards or canoes onto the River Slinge, which flows around the campsite.

If you’d like to take a day trip across the border, you’ll also find tips there, or you can simply ask at reception.

But the highlight of the campsite is the swimming facilities, both indoor and outdoor, including a fun area and a wellness zone. Dive into the heated outdoor pool, swim laps in the indoor pool, try the slides, or completely unwind in the wellness center with saunas and a plunge pool.

Here, you can enjoy luxury, tranquility, and entertainment—for both young and old. From summer 2026, guests will also be able to swim in naturally purified water. The new natural swimming pond will be a stylish addition to the existing facilities. While the swimming pools are perfect for sports and fun, the natural pond will offer a peaceful oasis where you can float, swim laps, or simply enjoy the calm water surface.
We visited Camping De Twee Bruggen again after a few years and were pleasantly surprised by all the renovations and the beautiful, nature-inspired luxury ambiance. Unfortunately, the natural swimming pond was not finished yet, so we will definitely come back.
