A surprisingly pleasant parking area to visit the wonderful town

Dinklesbuhl is a beautiful, historic town on the edge of Bavaria. It is famous for its medieval old centre, and is one of only three towns in Germany to still have completely intact city walls. Every building in the old town maintains its historic facade and there is something incredible to see on every street.

More

The camper park is perfect for visiting the town. There are around 16 very large, gravel spots with plenty of room for awnings and furniture to be spread outside. They back onto a lovely park with wild flowers and benches to relax.

A river runs at the back of the park, with steps for easy entry for bathing.

The camper spot has great facilities, including a station where you can pick up new gas bottles.

There is water, electricity, and a dumping station. If the large spots are occupied, there is additional parking possible throughout the rest of the car park, though it may be difficult for the largest mobile homes to fit in these ‘normal’ sized parking spaces. It is a very welcoming spot, and it is obvious that this town is happy for campers to come and see the stunning old town.

Ambassador’s Opinion

There are two camper parks - pick this one!

We travelled during August, so spots were definitely very busy. We went first to a different camper park on the other side of the old town, and were glad that we decided to check out this one instead! This one has great, spacious spots, a lovely park, and it within a 5 minute walk of the old town centre. We highly recommend it to see this amazing town!
