There are two main areas used for camping at Finsterhof – one field is more open, therefore sees way more sun, and is directly next to a fantastic playground and a cafe trailer.

The other is slightly more tucked away at the top end of the campsite and has more grass and trees. In the summer, this must be the area most in demand as the shade is fantastic! However, to have the cafe and the playground literally on your doorstep are great selling feature for the other area too.

The sanitary facilities are fairly central and nothing is too far away, no matter where you choose to camp. Both fields have a free choice of spot, there are no marked parking spaces, so you can set up however you like. It is a really popular site for tent camping, so if that’s how you like to spend your holidays this is a perfect choice for you.

As well as the usual facilities for campers like toilets, showers, and water dumping stations, there is also an amazing, huge function room that used to be an old barn of the farm.
It has table and chairs for groups to gather and also fridges for communal use, as well as one stocked with wine and beer for you to grab if you forgot to bring some with you! There are also two freezers in this room with pizzas and breads inside, with an oven next to them, so you can help yourself to these goods and bake them yourself. This is a wonderful feature of the campsite and really adds to the warm, friendly, family vibe of the whole site.

Also, there are hammocks and hanging chairs spread around everywhere – among the huge trees at the entrance, in the animal areas, from any trees that offers a gorgeous view and some shade.
The message from this campsite is clear – sit down, relax, and enjoy!

Evenings around the campfire are a regular occurence here, which you will be informed about during check in, so you can also easily make some holiday friends on this site.

Behind the campsite lies the Austrian countryside and if you enjoy hiking you can just follow the road out of the campsite and see where it leads you. Fields and forests are all within easy reach and if you’ve gor bicycles with you then the town of Neulengbach is certainly worth a visit.
