Donaupark Camping Tulln is a large campsite located on the river Danube and next to a swimming lake called the Aubad, making it a fantastic choice when the weather is warmer! The campsite is divided with half given to long term campers. Short term campers can enjoy great facilities and plenty of shade under the trees, all while being a hundred metre walk from a gorgeous swimming area. It is also close enough to Vienna to make an easy day trip, either by car if you have one or using the affordable public transport.

At the entrance to the campsite is a large, open reception building that may be closed for lunch so double check your time of arrival!
You can buy bottles of wine from here, and also tucked behind it is a small cafe with a large area to sit outside, where you can purchase ice cream and other refreshments.

Opposite of this is the first of two sanitary blocks, which are nicely arranged and very well kept. Showers are in a separate room to the toilets, and there are sinks outside of the building. Just outside of this area is another cafe/bar with more outdoor seating, and a short distance from this is the service area for mobile homes.
Donaupark Camping Tulln
The camping area for short term campers is arranged into circular sections – each section has 12 camping pitches around a central station where you can fill up water. The whole area is nicely forested and there is a great mixture of sunny and shady spots. We were assigned a spot when we checked in at reception, but when it is not busy it is possible to go and have a look around the site first to pick your preferred spot. The staff are really helpful, friendly, and flexible to accommodate your needs.
Donaupark Camping Tulln
Apart from the chance to visit the city of Vienna, one of the main reasons to stay at this campsite is the Aubad nestled directly on its doorstep.
This is a large freshwater lake fed by the Danube and is absolutely perfect to spend a day (or week!) on the water. There is a fantastic beach that has families in mind, with water toys, waterfalls, slides, and shallow water sectioned off from the rest of the lake. Behind this area are tennis courts and grassy areas for ball sports.

Picnic benches are spread around the whole lake and there are also plenty of other places to easily walk in to the water. A large cafe is close to the entrance for any refreshments you need during your day here.
Donaupark Camping Tulln
You do pay to enter the whole area, but entrance is included in your stay at the campsite. You can also rent boats from the campsite to take out on the water.
Donaupark Camping Tulln
There are also fantastic cycle paths along the Danube, so if you have your bicycles with you, or you fancy renting one from the campsite, you can explore far and wide on two wheels!

There are also a lot of tourist information leaflets and booklets in the reception area, so you can help yourself and make the very most of your time here.
A great spot with access to the awesome lake included
The big draw for us was obviously the lake and it is great that the entrance price is included for guests of the campsite. Though the site was a little busy when we stayed, the night was absolutely silent and we felt like we had the whole place to ourselves! We also enjoyed a walk along the Danube.
You will be ready for your next outdoor stay. With our famous freecamping map of Europe and map of Toll fees in each country. Plus a free eBook to learn about camping and work-life balance.
