This spot is out of the way from the main road where you will follow an unpaved road for 5 minutes to the winery. The views here are full of the Alentejo countryside olive groves, vineries and almond blossom.

Upon parking by the main reception we were met by Andreia who gives the guests two bottles of wine that is produced onsite. There are two choice of parking locations, either by the main building or down the track by the lake.

A tour around the winery can also be organised for free to show you where the wines are bottled and stored in the beautiful barrel room, which is a converted grain store.

Off the beaten trail
This is a good spot to either pop in to buy or taste wine or olive oil – or to park overnight. There are toilets around the back which are used by the employees of the winery but you can also use and there is a tap which you are allowed to use at the front of the building.

Wine tasting or olive oil tasting can be arranged for the same day or the following day.

There is a large selection of wines available both white and red. There are two choices of olive oil which can be tasted with fresh bread kindly supplied by Andreia.

We felt very welcome as soon as we arrived. We had a choice of two locations to park on and our host, Andreia, was very kind and shared a bit of history about the family business with us too.

– Bigger motorhomes might have an issue turning around on the hill down by the lakeside, however they would be able to park up by the main building without any issue
