Everything you need for a quiet spot in the Austrian hills
Spacious plots are provided here by the village so that 3 mobile homes can easily stand. Fresh, cold mountain water is provided, along with electricity and toilets. The village asks that you leave a 5€ donation if you use this spot and there’s a small box on the wall of the toilet building for you to do so. A gorgeous, clear river runs just behind the parking spots and at night that’s all you can hear.
Next to the camper parking is a picnic and barbeque area, which was historically part of old iron works. Information about its industrial past is found on plaques and posters throughout. Now, there are a couple of fire pits here for campers to use, as well as a playground for kids and access down into the river.
The phone signal here is very weak and does come and go depending on where you are standing. Therefore, this is a perfect spot to disconnect and simply enjoy the surroundings!
