Free spot just a short walk from the historic town center
This convenient parking area is next to the walled city of Lugo and comes with a view over the lower city and river. Lugo has a nice cathedral and cozy city center with lots of small shops, restaurants and bars. The city has a really nice vibe. People tend to be well dressed, friendly, and genuinely interested in you. It is a lively, safe and a very livable city. The city is a major link on the northern Camino walk. There are pilgrims hostels of all sorts, even fancy ones. A few specialized shops sell ‘conchas' and walking sticks. There is a super cozy ‘Club Circulo de las Artes' from 1895 where young and old tend to have a coffee, play some billiard and discuss world problems.
The walled city boasts 71 towers and is founded by the Romans, it is a compulsory walk/run at sunset for locals and tourists. All major highlights are lit up at night inviting you for a stroll on the walls and around the squares.
