Airplane fans and spotters will definitely enjoy this spot!

Playa Punta Candor is right on the approach path of Rota Naval Base. Kind of a little St. Martin, although it is probably a good thing that those C-5 Galaxy freighters don't blow you off from the beach. That said, traffic is only occasional and it's not disturbing too much.

Fill up Your water tank

You can use “water thief” and plastic tightening strip to fill up comfortably and not pushing the button hundred times. Water tap for black water disposal is marked “no potable”, other side is unmarked, so take caution and for safety reasons treat this as “unknown” source. Although locals use it in great numbers for filling up their containers for free.

Chiringuito Lucia Punta Candor

If You are short of supplies, or just lazy to cook, there is good choice of chiringuitos and restaurants nearby. From typical spanish food and tapas to steak and pizza & pasta joints, nobody stays hungry. In the morning the baker's van will horn and bring fresh baguettes.

Exquisite beach a stone throw away

Punta Candor beach is a wide strip with golden sand, gradual entry to the sea and system of dunes, which makes it calm and sheltered from westward winds. Except of the obvious sunbathing, its popular with fisherman, you can spot horse riders and enjoy surfing on its quickly rising waves.
