A lovely location on the river bank with forests around

Waldcamping Germania is a small, friendly campsite situated on the banks of the river Neckar. It is a lovely drive through the forest to arrive here, and the road winds down through the trees to bring you out right on the river. Follow the signs to the open beer garden rather than a campsite! The site spreads along the grassy area along the river with a few hard standing spots and some in the field. There is a mixture of designated spots and free choice areas, and the designated spots are incredibly spacious.

All of the spots here offer a view of the river, though many of the spots directly on the water are reserved for long term campers.

There are a couple that are available for shorter holidays though! The grassy field is mostly set aside for tents and it is large and spacious. There is a simple playground for kids and the cafe/beer garden is popular with both campers and visitors.

Some of the facilities here, such as the decor in the bathrooms and showers, is a little dated – there is a definite 80s vibe found in the tiles and wall paper choices! Everything is kept in good condition regardless and all areas are nice and clean.

It is nice and quiet at night even though the facilities such as the beer garden and the playground are well used during the day.
