An amazing spot on the very tip of an island that gives you a fantastic view of the ocean

This scenic campsite is as far out on the tip of the Ile Noirmoutier as you can get! Depending on which pitch you choose, you get full view of the ocean on three sides of your home on wheels. You can almost throw a stone into the waves while sitting outside of your campervan! It is a real treat to stay so close to the ocean, and with no passing traffic you can enjoy the sound of the waves for the duration of your stay.

Paths take you through the small dunes down onto the beach on all sides. Depending on the tide, you can walk along the beach for kilometers. With it being an island, it is obviously windy more often than not, making the beaches popular with kite surfers and wind surfers.

There are also plenty of rockpools to explores and views to enjoy if you want to sit down and relax for a while.

Just outside of the campsite is a small fishing town with a couple of restaurants if you do not fancy cooking. There are also a few nice shops to explore and of course, a bakery for your daily needs!

The island has plenty of large supermarkets too, though these are a 10-15 minute drive from the campsite, so if you want to make the most of your time on the tip of the island, it is a good idea to do a supply run on your way out to the campsite.

The sanitary facilities are large and super clean. There is a laundrette too. The pitches are nice and large so you can easily expand your awning and set up your camp next to your mobile home.

A fantastic coastal spot

We came here to be surrounded by the sea and we were not disappointed. We had a view of the coast out of every window of our van. Since it is right out on the tip of the island there is no traffic noise and barely any light pollution at night. All you can hear is the sound of the sea.

It's a good idea to do a grocery shop on your way to this campsite as there is no big shop within walking distance. There are plenty of restaurants though!
