An expansive, green, spacious area next to a small lake

On driving in, the first thing you see are 7 spots for campervans on two concrete levels and you may wrongly assume that this is it. When you continue to drive down to the lower level, there is a field in front that is also filled with electrical connections for campers, and also an expansive field off to one side. It is way more like a campsite than a standard camper parking, but it is the cheap price of a camper parking!

Lovely forest surrounds the camping greenery and there are marked trails throughout so a proper hike is definitely recommended.

Just next to the fields for campers is a picturesque lake that is full of bird life.

It’s not a long way to walk around the whole lake, so if you don’t fancy a proper hike through the trails then this is more than enough to stretch your legs and enjoy the surrounding nature.

With so many great walks on your doorstep, it’s a perfect area for those travelling with dogs.

At the opposite end of the lake are public toilets, which is only a 10 minute walk from the parking area.

Electricity, water, and emptying is all included in the entry price. The closest town is also only a short walk away, and it has regular markets through the week.

Take care with seasonal areas!

On arrival, we did drive down to the empty grassy areas to park up, but since it had been a wet week (this was November) things were a little slippery in the grass so we went back to solid ground! However, the fields for campers were expansive, we couldn’t believe that this pseudo-campsite was all possible for such a cheap price!

This is a completely private area, with a barrier for entry and only one point of access. The grass areas are surrounded by trees and bordered on one side by the lake. However, if you stay up on the concrete spots, you will hear a bit of traffic flowing on the road just outside.
