The farmhouse La Carmela is located in a calm corner of Murcia, next to a swamp and a pine forest. It is surrounded by nature and if something stands out about this place it is the peace and tranquility of the nearby forest, although you can always hear the sounds of more than 40 species of birds that live close by. This region is also the home to a lot of different mammals like squirrels, foxes and rabbits. This place is the perfect spot for nature lovers. It is idyllic — basically an ornithological observatory.

The farm just opened to the public and they are constantly adding new things. Currently they are building guest toilets and showers separated from the house.

La Carmela offers you the possibility of parking your caravan throughout the whole year while you return to your place of residence without having to worry about leaving your caravan parked somewhere else.

The city center of Murcia is 15 minutes and Alicante about 40 minutes away. If you need groceries the next supermarket is just 5 minutes from the farmhouse.

Despite that there are two lovely dogs guarding the yard, it is prohibited to bring your own pets. The reason for not accepting other pets is because they want to avoid possible problems that may occur with their own dogs.

It was a cozy and familiar atmosphere and their hospitality was outstanding.

When we arrived the homeowner gave us information about the surrounding area with hiking trails and bike paths. The owners were very welcoming and we had a couple drinks with them in the evening.

– There are new toilets, showers and a sink from October 2022
– There is new grey/black water disposal area from October 2022
– Sometimes you can hear the highway but the nights are very quiet
– If someone is passing by the property the dogs will bark
– Wifi in the upper squares, (which is about 10 squares), around the mini shop “Bodega”
– Customers with their own data connection won't have a signal problem
