Enjoy secluded tranquility at the most northern campsite in Austria!

Haarstuben Campingplatz Reingers is a fantastic, secluded campsite in the north of Austria on the Czech border. It is bordered by forests and tucked off of a small road that barely has any passing traffic. It has a well equipped sanitary building with toilets and showers in separate rooms that are kept in an amazing, clean condition. There are sinks outside with hot and cold water for washing up, and laundry facilities too. The site has no major lighting at night, which makes it absolutely idyllic for spotting the stars and keeping an eye out for wildlife. The neighbouring lake is just the icing on the cake!

The spots at Haarstuben Campingplatz are very spacious. Most of them are set with hedges, so you have a generous and very private spot.

You can easily fit your car and tent on the spot, or your camper with a large awning. There are a few spots on a small open field, and from these you have a wonderful view of the forest on one side and the lake on the other. You are completely surrounded by nature here and it is fantastic!

If you travel during the summer months, the lake on your doorstep is a huge bonus of this campsite. There is a specified swimming area, which has some picnic benches, a volleyball court, playground, and cafe, though there are additional access spots around the whole lake if you want a bit more privacy.

The campsite also has enough trees to provide shade during hot weather, and all of the pitches are grassy, which helps things stay a little cooler.

Checking into Haarstuben Campingplatz is done at the hemp shop, which you will drive past on your way to the campsite. It is just a quick walk to get there, and in this area there is also a cafe, and a small shop.

This was a great find for us

We loved the surroundings - to look out our doors and see trees and the lake is perfect. Also, being on the road during the summer always provides the extra challenge of finding spots that are not loud and crowded. This campsite is absolutely ideal for this! We stayed at the end of July and it was not completely full, and so quiet! We highly recommend and will be back.
