A scenic campsite on the Loire, with plenty to do for the whole family

Le Jardin de Sully is a wonderful campsite situated right on the banks of the Loire. It is incredibly spacious, with large plots suitable for all manner of mobile homes and campervans. As well as the pitches, there is an outdoor pool with a great play area for kids, a playground, tennis courts, basketball courts, a mini golf round, and more! It is an ideal choice for a family holiday, though is also perfect for getting out and exploring the surrounding area.

Not far away from the site is a massive footbridge, where you can cross and explore the closest town of Sully-sur-Loire. The chateau is amazing! It is paid entry if you want to go in and explore the whole building, though the grounds are expansive and free to tour through.

The town has a good amount of shops and of course, a baker, so you can walk here for fresh bread and pastries each day.

There are cycle paths along the Loire and you can follow the river to the famous cities of Blois and Orleans. Therefore, this campsite makes a perfect base for day trips, especially if you have your bikes hooked up on the back!

With so many options on this campsite, it is definitely easy to keep the whole family entertained all day.

There are some fabulous wide open fields for tent camping, picnic areas under the trees, and sports areas if you want to be more active. The facilities are kept very clean, laundry machines can be used via tokens purchased at the reception.

The reception also has a few basic supplies, worth checking out if you forgot to go shopping before you checked in!

The Loire and its castles are incredible!

This is a lovely campsite and feels very green and secluded, even though it is so close to the town of Sully-sur-Loire. It is tucked away off the road and is so quiet. The chateau in the town was just incredible - it is worth a night or two at this site to see this historic sight!

Be advised

Though it is open all year, not all the facilities are, such as the cafe and the swimming pool. The reception also has limited opening times and you need to check in before you can get access to your spot, so it's worth to call ahead so you're not waiting around in the carpark for too long.
It's still a great off-season choice though!
