This lovely spot on the coast is a good starting point for some nice walks on the endless beach and the gorgeous Nature Park nearby. The whole area is great for water sports enthousiasts, especially surfing. It's an awesome free parking for a night or two!

Praia de Sao Torpes
The town of Sines is, at first sight, an industrial town with refinery and container port but on closer look has some nice things to offer at its centre.

The contrast between industrial area and the old fishing port, the ‘over the top’ library complex with its modern design and the old houses, many with Art Nouveau features but crumbled and weathered by the Atlantic climate.

At certain points it has the look of Havana but combined with the haphazard coffee houses and small shops.

It’s the hometown of Vasco da Gama, a true Guru of travel!

The nearby beaches and the nature park with its stunning scenery are a must-see for surfers (lots of schools available) and for nature/beach lovers.

Great vistas, and plenty of fresh air! The Atlantic Ocean at its best. Surf schools and waves in every village. Sines Intermarché makes for a good stopover to stock on drinks and food. You can dump grey and black water and load fresh water (payable). Petrol is less expensive and camper wash is available.
There are no services at the parking lot, so come prepared. There is a nearby restaurant that serves meals and a surf club for sandwiches and drinks
