A campsite with incredible views, even including the Northern Lights!
This wonderful campsite has an idyllic location on the coast, on an elevated position on a cliff, giving perfect views out over the sea. At certain times of the year, it is even possible to see the Northern Lights dancing over the ocean here. The beach is stunning, so much so that it will be easy enough to pass your whole holiday simply enjoying the view! All the facilities you need are here, including a camper’s kitchen for those using tents on site who need a little more space. With several beaches, stunning walks and magnificent viewpoints, Durness is unrivalled on the North Coast of Sutherland for a holiday base.
Though this campsite does have seasonal dates, it is actually open all year for campers to stop by. The facilities are closed but it is possible to connect to the electricity and fill up your water, and there is a public toilet not too far away. This service is available for just 15€ a night.
